Well, I bet you already figured it's not a regular watch for a regular person. It's a nice geeky thingamajig for a computer programmer though: it displays time in binary (little-endian, intel) format -- the horizontal byte at the bottom shows minutes, the vertical nybble at the top-left hours. Two multi-functional pins appear to work as follows: the top pin is used to set values (by enumerating them), the bottom pin switches modes (show/set mins/set hrs -- this sort of thing). Nothing subtle about this watch: quite sizeable and weighty, and equipeed with a thick and sturdy leather watchband, it feels substantial. Nice toy, really.The only problem so far, it came w/o any instructions: just the watch in a plastic sleeve inside a bubble-wrap envelope (very quickly delivered, I must say). I did figure out how to set hours and minutes, but am/pm doesn't seem to adhere to the same procedure and always shows am. Also, the description on this page claims this watch shows date: I can't see where or how; I don't think it does. I emailed the seller for instructions, so we'll see. But whatever else, this watch is a perfect conversation piece, or, if you're a computer geek, something to wear for a job interview.It could be improved somewhat by, first and foremost, removing the necessity to use the other hand when you want to see the time (need to press the button): this could be done by adding some sort of inertial element that would show time upon a shake or a twist of the left arm.Then, both hour and minute read-outs could be positioned horizontally (picturing memory cells vertically is unintuitive) and either shrink the watch itself (most of the the face space shows nothing and is thus wasted; the watch could easily be half its height), or add more assorted "blinkenlights" to it. Certainly date would be good. Doesn't have to be practical: it's a humorous item anyway, so just make it "fullfilled mit special electronische equippment to promote fingergrabbing and pressing die knoeppkes as is appropriate for die experts only and which sets us apart from all the "lefthanders" who need to stay away and not disturben the brainstorming von here working intelligencies," etc., etc.How about doubling the display in hexadecimal? Or adding a calculator/converter between formats (decimal/hex/binary: that'd even be practical for when you code up flag variables and need to enter dec or hex constants for bit combinations).Bottom line: this is a cute techno-gewgaw appropriately priced (buck-sixty-two + four-something shipping); not for the general public by any means, but for a real or wannabe geek, recommended; I'd even say a must. Also would do nicely as a gift to such a person.PS. Added later: It does show date, I figured out this one. Still, I'm not in full control of this thingie's operation yet. Come to think of it, figuring it out is quite a geeky challenge in its own right. Maybe it's good there's no manual: it's like an IQ test of sorts.Added later: they responded next business day with a jpg of operating instructions. I cut out the English section and added it as a "customer image" to the picture of this watch at the top of this page, so if you don't know how to set it, you can click on the "customer image" link, and the instructions will be there (in broken English, but understandable though). Once again, it's a most enjoyable trinket. Every quarter hour it comes alive itself and shows time, btw. (it does it by itself, unless I somehow triggered it when monkeying with it initially; I don't think I did though).Added later: this thing has a tendency to run ahead a bit, but nothing terrible, a minute or so a month. Better than falling behind! Overall, works great. No disappointment so far; a great conversation piece.-------------Followup on battery life: LEDs started to fade about ~two months into use and the piece completely died in four months. I'm not complaining: this is not a real watch, and for a toy (that I got for six bucks including shipping) one can get a new one every time one wants it. So it's just FYI.---Thanks to Andrew Fandrianto for the correction.-------Added later: beware of BS reviews: a lot of good reviews now appear from one-review non-real-name reviewers. This is suspicious. The vendor is also different from the guys I had bought this from. Seems like the new guys are not above posting hype. Just as a reminder: this is a gag, a joke, NOT a great timepiece. Disregard one-line five-star hyperventilating reviews, I doubt they're real. Look for substantial writeups from someone with a number of reviews in their record posted over a long time period, not within one day or a week.

I wanted a "geeky" fun watch for myself and to gift two friends without spending a fortune, so I bought the "3x" version from Neewer (currently unavailable). Boy, does this thing deliver! The LED's are bright and colorful, and I especially like the option to automatically "light 'em up" on the fifteens. What a hoot!The recipients and I all have computer and math backgrounds, so this watch plays to our interests and we can readily read the display. At times I would prefer that the display stay lit a little longer, but I think my reading speed will improve with practice. Too long a display would shorten battery life, so I think it's a good compromise.This watch seems to be very well made, given the price. Only time will tell how durable it is. Its weakest point is probably the strap. It is thick and stiff, and it fits my 7.75" wrist on the last hole (but comfortably so.) I expect (hope?) it to become more flexible with wear.There were no instructions included for setting the watch. Basically, you just activate the display, then hold the bottom button down until the hours flash, set hours (pay attention to AM and PM) with the top button, and progress bottom-then-top through all values. After setting the date, the bottom row of LED's will flash right-to-left when, if you press the top button while they do so, you can toggle the automatic time display function off and on.Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase!

I just received the led watch yesterday. It says water resistant on the instructions but is not. I was wearing my new watch at work today and when I washed my hands, the watch just stopped workink.
