Great necklace, lousy watch.

I purchased this for my wife. She likes owls and we both think it's adorable. The metal parts of the watch and the owl wing mechanism are much more substantial than I expected, and opening and closing the watch works really well.However, the watch part doesn't work -- setting the watch barely works, and it looses time sporadically. She had the battery replaced, and the the timekeeping didn't improve. Watching the way the hands move when it looses time, and the way the hands move when you try to set it, she thinks that some gear teeth are missing somewhere inside the mechanical part of the watch.I have to give it a stars because of how well the owl wings work, and I have to give it a second star for being something that my wife would actually wear (she has very specific tastes). However, since she really wants a watch on a necklace, I can't give it any more stars.P.S. I've been trying to figure out how to replace the watch part with a higher quality timepiece, but I haven't had any luck so far. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not averse to paying more for quality.

Great Product

It came faster than I thought it would, considering it came from Hong Kong. It came in very cute packaging and it also had a handwritten note inside. The owl itself was a little bit smaller than I originally excepted but it was still a good size. The owl is absolutely adorable! It opens and closes very well and its a very unique item. The watch inside is also very easy to read, and the owls "horns" or "ears" are cool because if you pinch them together the wings open which I found cute. Overall I think it is a great product for the price, and its absolutely adorable.

My daughter loved it

My 7 year old daughter loved it. It was cute and quite a conversational piece with her friends.It seems to not hold the time too well (a few minutes off a day). In the end, she relies on her wrist watch for time and this was relegated to her treasure chest for that reason.
